Fox Valley EGA Biennial Show

FOX VALLEY EGA BIENNIAL SHOW

"Threads that Bind", the FVEGA needle arts show, will be Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  and Sunday, April 14 from noon to 4 p.m.   This exhibit will include work completed by Fox Valley (WI) Chapter members since the 2011 show or the last Lake Winnebago Chapter show in 2008.  The FVEGA will honor the memory of  late member Sherry Gates, exhibiting some of her needle work thanks to her daughter.

Items stitched by members will be on sale in the boutique.  There will also be themed opportunity baskets.  Members will demonstrate needlework techniques.  Admission is $3.

The show will be at St. James United Methodist Church, 100 W. Capitol Drive at the corner of Oneida Street in Appleton.  Those coming to Appleton via Highway 41 may turn south at the Richmond/Highway 47 exit, travel to the first stoplight and turn left on Capitol Drive.  The church is located on the north side of the street, two blocks east of Richmond/Highway 47.

Note:  Highway 41 past Oshkosh and through Winnebago County has two lanes open in both directions and no interchange closures.

Stitch in Public Day

I hope you are planning to join us Saturday, February 2, 2013 for Stitch in Public Day. We will meet at Woodridge Public Library, 3 Plaza Dr., Woodridge, IL from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Bring whatever project you're working on (possibily our current stumpwork piece?). We'll have a small display up so you can also bring completed chapter projects; we'll show off what our chapter has done. Coffee and cookies will be served.

This is also your chance to see the January window display  ~ Waterfall Glen's snowman, before we take it down.

January/March Program 2013

We're learning Stumpwrk! Jane Stevens has started us on our stumpwork project, "Itsy Bitty Flower". You should be working on the five petals that we started in January. Bring the completed petals in March and we'll continue this project.
